Reported on news and programmes for radio stations across the country. Reported on three of the Ripper murders in Leeds.  (was based in Leicester, Lincoln, Liverpool, Derby, York, Leeds, Northampton and Birmingham).

Radio Trent, Nottingham :

Reporter for commercial radio in the East Midlands. Wrote scripts, recorded interviews and edited stories. Reported on several national stories including the deaths of two teenage sweethearts at Matlock.

Leicester Mercury, Leicester :
 July 1972 - October 1978

Trained there and worked as a court reporter and feature writer in Leicester and as a district reporter in the Loughborough office.
