Speaking

Diana is used to public speaking. As a lay union official
representing broadcasters and journalists she’s had to address national
conferences before hundreds of delegates. In 2005, Diana spoke in a House of
Commons lobby and in the Council House in Nottingham on plans to cut jobs at
Carlton ( formerly Central ) television. She’s chaired many meetings on behalf
of the NUJ locally.

In a different capacity, Diana led the presentation of
readings from the anthology of fiction and poetry she helped to produce at
Nottingham Trent University. She organised public readings at the Bromley House
Library and the Angel Row library, as well as at Lowdham Literature Festival in
2006 and at the book launch at Waterstones.
